Masterclass - Homestyle Barbacoa

In this 5hr masterclass - we take a deep dive into the Oaxacan family Tradition of Barbacoa.

Sunday November April 28th we gather together in the Clay Cantina kitchen and work together towards a traditional Sunday feast.

For our Barbacoa (lamb) we prepare the marinade and traditional banana leaf wrapping plus we make our own tortillas, salsas and pickles plus the traditional consomme broth to serve and enjoy with the lamb.

What you can expect -

Welcome - arrive to enjoy a welcome cocktail , meet your class mates, receive your recipes and go over the menu and class plan, before jumping into our hands on lesson making and creating a delicious menu.

What we will make -

Snacks:

Fresh salsas and tortilla chips

Meal:

Traditional Barbacoa lamb, hand made tortillas with salsas and mexican pickles & consomme.

We stop for a break enjoying refreshments and the snacks that you have prepared and finish the session by sitting together to enjoy everything you we have made.

yours to take home will be your Clay Cantina class recipes and there is option to purchase some of the clay cooking tools like the ones used during the class.
